Jan. 4th, 2008 - Vaxdesign will soon relocate to its new corporate headquarters and state of the art laboratory facilities in The Central Florida Research Park. The process spanned some fourteen months and incorporated the best of Orlando’s architectural, engineering and construction talent. Vax Design worked closely with mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineers to design, develop and construct a state of the art facility.
VaxDesign will develop, manufacture, and market its proprietary MIMIC(tm) (Modular IMmmune In vitro Construct) models of the human immune system. MIMIC provides a reliable and repeatable method for evaluating a human immune response outside of the body; that is, it is a model for testing vaccines and other immune-related drugs rapidly, inexpensively and predicatively. This "clinical trial in a test tube" may reduce the risk and expense of human clinical trials and may someday replace animal testing for these applications. The new facility will enable VaxDesign to further develop the MIMIC technology for commercial applications including immune prediction services and autoimmune disease therapeutics. The company customers include commercial partners, NGOs and the Federal Government and has close collaborations with University of Central Florida, MIT, Scripps, and Mt Sinai School of Medicine to name a few.

Jan. 4th, 2008 - Coughlin Commercial assisted Air Transport in relocating its corporate headquarters and Engineering Center. AirTransport will relocate to Lee Vista Corporate Center in 1st quarter of 2008.

Former Cushman Brokers Form Coughlin Commercial
Feb. 09th, 2007 - New Winter Park-Based Firm Specializes in Corporate Real Estate Solutions - Stephen Coughlin and Joe Hills, both former Cushman & Wakefield brokers, have formed Coughlin Commercial, a multi-disciplined commercial real estate company.
Coughlin, the firm's president, has 24 years of real estate experience and has been named a top producer in Central Florida every year from 1998 to 2005. Hills, a vice president at Coughlin Commercial, was named a top producer in 2001.
